- In the Fill panel, click the Fill Patten tab. With the text still selected, choose a fill pattern of your choice. In the example, the fill pattern was Pink Lemonade Polka (see screenshot).
- From the Quick Assess toolbar, set the Stroke size for the text to 2 pts. Set the Stroke color to match a color in the Easter egg graphic.
- In the Layers panel, lock the Card Front and Front Message layers and turn off the Visibility. Add a new layer and name it Inside Message.
- With Text tool, add your Easter message.
- In the Text Style panel, set the Font and Style of your choice.
- In the Fill panel, set the Fill Color for the text to black or your choice.
- From the Quick Assess toolbar, set the Stroke Color to Null.
- Turn off the Registration Marks.
- From the top Menu, click File - Print and print the inside message.
- In the Layers panel, turn off the Visibility of the Inside Message. Turn on the Visibility for the outside card layers.
- Turn on the Registration Marks.
- Print the outside of the card.
- Place the card on the cutting mat. In the Layer tab for the Send panel (see screenshot), uncheck all of the layers except for the Cutting Line layer. This is the only layer that we wish to cut.
- Cut your Easter card and enjoy.
Note: Place your cursor over each Fill Pattern to see the name of that pattern.
Now we will add the message inside the card (see screenshot). In the example, the Dancing Script font was used but use the font of your choice.
Optional: In the cover graphic, notice the small triangles and other shapes around the outside of the Easter egg. Let's use the Flexishapes tools to add a few small shapes around the inside message. Color the shapes the same colors as in the Easter egg graphic.
Now we are ready to print and cut the Easter card. Let's print the inside message first.
